Hey people, sorry i haven't blogged in months, but i have been really busy with the concert and all, and i feel a little empty now that its over. Well, this blog serves me multiple purposes, to confide my feelings into it without having really to tell anyone about it. I mean, you've probably heard my rants about me being fat and all, but today i realised that, well, its not me who is putting that idea into my head. If no one around me was skinnier, then i wouldn't think i were fat. If no one around me told me that i have a pot belly, i wouldn't think of it so myself. Sad to say, i must be out of my mind, but it just shows how influenced we are today by society. We adhere to every single rule the society sets for us, and by doing so, we feel happy, everyone is happy, isn't it? Well, folks, this will then lead us to the topic of stereotypes. Its sad, but true. I mean, just look around folks, who wouldn't stereotype men with weird hand gestures as gay? And who wouldn't stereotype models as skinny, and lean, and that it is every woman's dream to look like one? But that's not the problem, the real problem is that we sometimes choose to believe these stereotypes and assumptions, and fix this way of thinking into our small and undeveloped little noggins. We are taught by so many people everyday in our lives how to think, but we never really get a chance to think for ourselves. So folks, what is man's natural instinct and way of behaviour? We don't know. We have altered our way of life and thinking so much, that maybe we have lost most of our "natural" instincts. So the moral of this is, that try to think for yourself, and with reference to the novel "Mona Lisa Smile", you can be anything that you want to be. Its all about breaking free the boundaries of false impressions, and thinking. Really, that's all it takes.
